Where Is Redang Island?

Redang Island is located off the northeast coast of Terengganu, Malaysia, in the South China Sea. As a protected marine park, the island is known for its clear waters, healthy coral reefs, and wellpreserved natural environment.

All guests staying at Redang Holiday Beach Resort travel to the island via Merang Jetty, where boat transfers depart to Redang Island.

How to Get to Merang Jetty?

By Car

Drive directly to Merang Jetty

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled boat time
Exact boat timing will be advised one day before check-in
Parking is available at the jetty (charges apply)

By Air

Fly into Kuala Terengganu, arriving at Sultan Mahmud Airport (TGG).

Recommended travel timing:
- For travelling on the check-in day, take the earliest flight of the day
- Arrival at TGG must not be later than 9:30 AM
Please note that the resort will not bear any costs arising from flight delays or missed connections.
From the airport, travel by taxi or private car to Merang Jetty (approximately 30–40 minutes).
If you arrive late, we will assist in arranging an alternative boat subject to availability, with additional charges applicable.

Return Travel :

Return boat transfer departs around 9:00–10:00 AM
Guests are advised to book return flights after 2:00 PM

By Bus

Take a night coach to Kuala Terengganu (MBKT) or Merang Jetty Bus Station

Arrival should be before 7:00 AM on the check-in day
Taxi services are available from the terminal to Merang Jetty

Return travel:

Return boat departs around 9:00–10:00 AM
Guests are advised to book return bus after 2:00 PM

Our logistics team will contact guests one day before check-in to confirm the exact boat transfer timing. Please ensure a reachable contact number is provided during booking.
Boat schedules may change due to weather or sea conditions

Important:

Guests must arrive at the jetty no later than 10:15 AM (Last boat depart at 10:30am). The company will not bear any costs arising from guest transport delays resulting in missed boat transfers.
Guests arriving after this time will need to arrange alternative boats independently, subject to availability.
Alternative boat charges (payable directly):
- RM55 per adult
- RM35 per child
